With the help of additional experienced coaches - Gordon Kinney, Charlie Tyack and Frank Waller - the team soon gelled and became a major player in the Texas High Schools Rugby league.</div> <div> In its first season and with mostly beginner players the team did exceptionally well in winning eight games and losing five to the top three teams with established programs and experienced players.</div>
